Obverse description Laureate head of the Roman emperor Vespasian facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic portrait tradition of the Bosporan Kingdom. The effigy displays carefully modeled curling hair beneath the laurel wreath, with strongly defined facial features including a prominent brow and jaw. The neck is truncated at the base with drapery lightly indicated. The portrait occupies the central field with a plain, slightly irregular flan typical of Bosporan hammered coinage.
