| Reverse description | A Delphic tripod cauldron shown in full frontal view, rendered with great architectural precision, its three legs resting on a straight horizontal groundline and the cauldron bowl decorated above. The magistrate's name legend ΠΥ - ΘΩΝ (Python) is divided to the left and right of the tripod in Greek letters, identifying the issuing magistrate according to the Abderite convention of placing an eponymous official's name on the reverse. The field is otherwise plain, and the composition is framed within a linear square incuse, typical of early fourth-century Thracian mint practice. |
