Obverse description Diademed bust of King Ptolemy I Soter facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with flowing, voluminous hair secured by a royal diadem. The effigy displays a strong, idealized profile with prominent facial features characteristic of early Ptolemaic portraiture. An aegis is worn about the neck, its scaled texture rendered in careful relief, serving as a divine attribute linking the ruler to Olympian authority. The portrait fills the flan with commanding presence, the hair rendered in deeply cut, naturalistic curls. No legend appears on the obverse.
