| Obverse description | Laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in fine Hellenic style with idealized youthful features, full lips, and a straight nose. The hair is elaborately arranged in thick curling locks swept back from the forehead and bound with a laurel wreath, with loose tendrils falling behind the neck. The portrait is boldly modeled in high relief against a smooth field, displaying the accomplished die-cutting characteristic of Macedonian royal coinage of the late 4th century BC. |

| Reverse description | A charioteer drives a galloping biga (two-horse chariot) to the right, holding the reins firmly in his left hand and brandishing a kentron (goad) in his raised right hand. The horses are depicted in vigorous motion with forelegs extended. Beneath the horses appears an eight-pointed star alongside the monogram ΜΟ, serving as a mint control mark. In the exergue, a bull's leg is visible as an additional control symbol. The legend ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΥ appears in the field, attributing the issue to Philip. |
