| Obverse description | Diademed head of King Parisades V facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with flowing, elaborately worked hair swept back from the forehead and falling in thick locks behind the neck. The facial features are sharply modelled, with a strong profile and naturalistic treatment characteristic of late Bosporan royal portraiture. The diadem, a plain fillet, is clearly visible binding the hair above the brow. No legend appears on the obverse. |
