Obverse description Laureate head of Zeus facing right, rendered in bold high relief with richly detailed hair and beard swept back in thick locks characteristic of late Hellenistic Thessalian coinage. The portrait displays strong modeling of the facial features, with a prominent brow, aquiline nose, and flowing beard. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, typical of hammered silver issues of the Thessalian League. No legend appears on the obverse.
