| Obverse description | Convex, largely plain field exhibiting an abstract, highly stylized design characteristic of Celtic coinage. A prominent central boss or dome rises from the surface, encircled by a shallow concentric groove, imparting a shell-like or mussel (Muschel) appearance. The overall fabric is irregular and the flan shows the typical uneven edges of hand-struck Celtic gold coinage. No legend or inscriptions are present. |
