Reverse description Nike, the winged goddess of victory, advances to the left, her wings spread behind her. She holds a wreath extended in her right hand and a palm branch over her left shoulder, rendered in a dynamic, striding pose typical of Hellenistic coinage of the Bosporan Kingdom. The Greek royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΜΙΘΡΙΔΑΤΟΥ is distributed around the field, reading 'of King Mithridates', with the Bosporan era date ΘΛΤ (year 339, corresponding to 43 AD) prominently placed in the centre of the reverse field. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border.
