Obverse description Prancing horse advancing left in high relief, depicted with naturalistic musculature; a trailing rein extends beneath the animal. A wheel symbol, likely a wheel of six spokes within a circle, occupies the upper field. The flan is irregular and the style is consistent with Thracian coinage of the early fourth century BC.

Reverse description A stylised grape-vine bearing four clusters of grapes arranged symmetrically within a recessed linear square border, the whole set within a shallow incuse square. The vine tendrils and bunches are rendered in a bold, schematic style characteristic of Maronean coinage. The ethnic legend ΜΗ ΡΟ ΦΩΝ is distributed in the four corners and along the sides of the linear frame in Greek characters.
