| Reverse description | A highly stylized Celticized horse galloping to the left, its body and limbs rendered in schematic, disjointed elements characteristic of late Gaulish coinage derived from Macedonian prototypes. A pellet-in-annulet motif enclosed within a pelleted circle appears below the horse in the lower field. Additional pellets and abstract ornamental devices fill the surrounding field. The legend LVCOTIOS is inscribed in Latin characters. The composition exemplifies the advanced geometric abstraction of the Remi tribal coinage of the late Iron Age. |
