Obverse description Facing group within a circular border depicting a lion rampant to the right attacking and overpowering a bull, both animals rendered in archaic relief with vigorous naturalistic detail. The lion, shown with flowing mane and powerful musculature, grips the bull with its forepaws while the bull collapses beneath. The composition fills the flan in the characteristic Lycian dynastic style of the early fifth century BC.

Reverse description Incuse square with dotted border enclosing a triskeles motif — three curved legs or spirals radiating from a central pellet — executed in raised relief against the incuse field. A Lycian dynastic inscription in Lycian script appears within the incuse square alongside the symbol. The incuse square itself is set within a larger irregular incuse depression typical of the hammered coinage of the Lycian dynasts.
