| Reverse description | Laureate and bearded bust of the Roman Emperor Hadrian facing right, rendered in a fine Hellenistic-Roman style with tightly curled hair and a neatly cropped beard of characteristic Hadrianic form. The portrait displays strong, classicizing features and is positioned centrally within the beaded border. Below the bust, in the exergue, appears the Bosporan regnal year monogram ЄΚΥ (Bosporan Year 425), serving as the sole legend on this side. The absence of an encircling legend places full emphasis on the imperial portrait. |
