Reverse description Athena Nikephoros seated left on a throne, wearing a crested helmet and draped in a chiton and himation, her right hand extending to hold a small Nike who faces left and raises her wings. A large Macedonian shield rests against the throne to the left. In the lower field, a spear lies diagonally beneath the throne. To the left of the central type, the monogram ΒΥ (the civic ethnic of Byzantion) appears as a control mark. The royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ to the right and ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ to the left flank the central device in two vertical columns.
