Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing right, wearing a Corinthian helmet adorned with a flowing plume and a coiled serpent at the bowl, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with luxuriant curling locks escaping beneath the helmet cheek-guards. The facial features are delicately modeled with a serene, idealized expression characteristic of late Alexandrine die-cutting. The neck is unadorned, and the portrait fills the flan with commanding presence, with no legend or border on the obverse field.
