Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena in right profile, wearing a Corinthian helmet adorned with an elaborate crest featuring a coiled serpent at the base and long flowing plumes sweeping rearward. The goddess's features are rendered in fine Hellenistic style, with naturalistic locks of hair visible beneath the helmet's cheek-guards. The broad neck and strong facial profile convey divine authority. No legend appears on this face; the entire design fills the flan with bold, high-relief artistry characteristic of the Alexandrine mint tradition.
