Obverse description Head of Athena in right profile, wearing a close-fitting Corinthian helmet adorned with a prominent horsehair crest and a coiled serpent on the bowl. The facial features are rendered with refined Hellenistic artistry, with delicate locks of hair visible beneath the helmet's rim. The flan is irregular, characteristic of hand-struck ancient coinage, and the field is plain without additional devices or legends.

Reverse description Nike (Victory) standing facing left, her large feathered wings spread prominently to either side, clad in a flowing chiton with drapery rendered in fine detail. In her outstretched left hand she holds a naval crown (wreath), while her right hand holds a stylis (ship's stern ornament). The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs vertically along the right field. A floral symbol or mint control mark appears in the lower field below Nike's feet, consistent with the Magnesia ad Maeandrum mint attribution as catalogued in Price 1900-1901.
