| Obverse description | Helmeted head of Athena facing right, wearing a Corinthian helmet adorned with a serpent coil on the bowl and a flowing horsehair plume. The goddess's facial features are rendered with fine Hellenistic artistry, with delicate locks of hair escaping beneath the helmet's cheekpieces. The helmet visor is pushed back, revealing the full profile of the deity's face. The neck and cheekguard are finely detailed, consistent with the high-relief die-cutting characteristic of late Alexandrine mint output. |
