Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with flowing locks of hair visible beneath the visor of a Corinthian helmet fitted with a prominent forward-curving crest adorned with an elaborate coiled serpent or decorative finial. The goddess's facial features are delicately modelled with a straight nose, softly parted lips, and almond-shaped eye, reflecting the refined artistic standards of the Macedonian royal mint tradition. The field is plain, with no legend on the obverse.
