Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena in right profile, wearing a Corinthian helmet adorned with a prominent upswept crest and decorated cheek-pieces. The goddess's flowing locks emerge from beneath the helmet, rendered in fine curling strands about the neck. The facial features are finely modelled in high relief, displaying the idealized Classical style characteristic of the Alexandrine coinage, with a straight nose, clearly defined eye socket, and parted lips. No legend appears in the field.
