| Obverse description | Diademed and draped bust of King Eupator facing right, with long flowing hair rendered in detailed strands, wearing a diadem and garment with visible folds at the shoulder. The effigy is executed in a bold, high-relief Hellenistic style characteristic of Bosporan royal coinage. On some specimens, a club appears before the bust in the field. The circular Greek legend ΒΑϹΙΛΕΩϹ ΕΥΠΑΤΟΡΟϹ, meaning 'of King Eupator', runs around the periphery, enclosed within a beaded border. |
