Obverse description Pomegranate rendered in relief at center of a plain, unbordered field, depicted in frontal aspect with characteristic bulbous body and calyx lobes visible at the crown; the fruit is the civic emblem of Side in Pamphylia. The design is rendered in a bold, archaic style typical of early Pamphylian coinage, with the image occupying the full available flan. The strike is somewhat irregular, consistent with early hammered production.
