Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing right, wearing a crested Corinthian helmet pushed back to reveal her face, the bowl adorned with elaborate floral and scroll decoration on the cheekpiece. Curling locks of hair emerge beneath the helmet's brim, framing the goddess's finely modelled profile. The high-relief portrait is rendered in the vigorous Hellenistic style characteristic of the Salamis mint, with confident die-cutting conveying both divine authority and martial poise. No legend appears on the obverse.
