| Reverse description | Bare head of Agrippa facing right, rendered with closely cropped hair and strong, individualized facial features in the Hellenistic portrait tradition. A royal monogram (ΒΑΡ, abbreviating Basileos Aspurgou — 'of King Aspurgus') appears to the left of the effigy in the field. Below the bust, the Greek date letters ΒΙΤ (= year 312 of the Bosporan Era, corresponding to 16 AD) are inscribed as a regnal date formula. The composition is compact and well-centered on an irregular hammered flan. |
