Obverse description Facing lion scalp depicted full face, rendered in high relief with finely detailed radiating mane framing the broad visage; the ears curl outward symmetrically and the forehead musculature is boldly articulated. The treatment is characteristic of Lycian dynastic coinage of the late 5th to early 4th century BC, demonstrating a confident archaic-to-classical transitional style. The field is plain, and the flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges as typical of hand-struck Lycian silver.
