Obverse description Facing Boeotian shield rendered in high relief, its characteristic double-curved cutouts flanking the central boss clearly delineated. The shield's convex surface dominates the flan, with the incurved sides and symmetrical lateral openings rendered in fine detail typical of Theban coinage of the period. The design fills the flan to its irregular edges, with no legend or additional devices in the field.
