Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing left, wearing a crested Attic helmet adorned with a prominent transverse crest rendered in fine relief. The facial features are modeled in a refined archaic-classical style, with flowing locks of hair visible beneath the helmet's cheek-guards. A beaded border surrounds the central design field, with the remainder of the flan exhibiting a granular surface treatment characteristic of Lycian silver coinage of the late fifth century BC.
