Obverse description Boeotian shield depicted in high relief, shown face-on with characteristic curved cutouts on either side forming the distinctive double-notched outline. The shield's convex central boss dominates the field, surrounded by a plain raised border that follows the irregular flan. The design is rendered in a bold, schematic style typical of Boeotian League coinage of the 4th century BC.
