Reverse description Within a linear incuse square, an ithyphallic and bearded Pan advances to the left, his right arm raised above his head and his left hand grasping a lagobolon (hunting stick). The figure is rendered with careful attention to the deity's characteristic rustic features, including a full beard and the implied animalistic nature of the god. The ethnic legend ΑΝΑΞΙΠΟΛΙΣ, identifying the magistrate Anaxipolis, is inscribed within the incuse square field.
