Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing right, depicted in the Corinthian style with a richly decorated helmet featuring a prominent crest and elaborate scroll-work on the bowl. The goddess's hair falls in loose curls beneath the helmet, and her facial features are rendered with refined Hellenistic artistry. The surface of the helmet bears intricate relief detailing characteristic of the finest Macedonian die engravers of the late 4th century BC. The portrait fills the flan with commanding presence, leaving only a narrow plain field around the periphery.
