Obverse description Highly stylized, degenerate head facing right, derived from the prototype of Alexander III of Macedon; the design is reduced to abstract linear forms characteristic of late Celtic or Celto-Scythian artistic tradition. Three annulets arranged in a vertical row occupy the left field behind the head. Two pellets are positioned in the right field. The overall treatment reflects the progressive barbarization of the Macedonian stater prototype through successive generations of local imitation.

Reverse description Highly stylized and abstracted figure of Nike standing facing, derived from the reverse type of the Macedonian stater of Alexander III; the figural design has been reduced to schematic linear elements, retaining only a general outline of the winged goddess. Ten pellets are distributed around the central device in the field, a characteristic decorative feature of Celto-Scythian imitative coinage. No inscription or legend is present. The rendering exemplifies the extreme barbarization typical of Bastarnae stater imitations.
