Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing right, depicted in high relief with fine naturalistic modelling characteristic of late Classical Greek die-cutting. The goddess wears a Corinthian helmet pushed back on her head, adorned with an elaborate triple-crested plume and a decorative serpent coil at the bowl. Her hair falls in a beaded queue along the neck, and the cheek-guards of the helmet are raised, revealing a refined facial profile with a straight nose and full lips. The field is plain, with no legend on the obverse.
