| Obverse description | Pegasus in flight to the left, rendered with vigorous naturalistic detail; the mythological winged horse is depicted mid-gallop with forelegs raised and hindquarters lowered, its large spread wings rising prominently above the body. The musculature and mane are finely engraved in the Corinthian tradition. The Greek letter lambda (Λ), the civic initial of Leukas, appears below the body of Pegasus in the lower field. |
