Obverse description Pegasus depicted in full flight to right, with outstretched wings and forelegs extended, rendered in fine relief characteristic of early fourth-century Corinthian die-cutting. The winged horse occupies the full field of the flan, conveying dynamic movement. The koppa (Ϙ), the archaic Greek letter serving as the civic monogram of Corinth, appears in the lower field beneath the body of Pegasus.
