| Obverse description | Helmeted head of Athena facing right in high relief, rendered in the fine archaic-to-classical transitional style characteristic of Cilician coinage. The goddess wears a crested Attic helmet, the bowl of which is prominently decorated with a finely detailed griffin in profile, its wings spread and neck arched forward. Locks of hair escape from beneath the helmet and fall in neat waves along the neck. The facial features are rendered with precision, displaying a pronounced profile with a straight nose, well-defined eye, and slightly parted lips. The field is plain, with no legend on the obverse. |
