Obverse description Eagle displayed in right profile, standing with wings spread and raised, rendered in bold relief characteristic of Cretan die-cutting. The bird's plumage is rendered with incised parallel striations across the wing feathers, and its talons grip an irregular rocky exergual line. The composition fills the flan with a powerful, naturalistic energy typical of late Classical Cretan coinage. No legend present in the field.
