Obverse description Eagle depicted in left profile, swooping downward with wings partially folded, clutching a serpent or hare in its talons. The bird's powerful beak is open and directed downward, conveying predatory motion. A small shell or marine creature is visible in the lower field. The design is rendered in high relief with characteristic archaic boldness, consistent with the Elean artistic tradition. The flan is broad and irregular, typical of early fifth-century Peloponnesian coinage.

Reverse description Eagle standing frontally with wings spread upward in a heraldic posture, the body rendered with fine detail showing breast feathers and powerful legs. The figure is framed by an elaborate border of intertwining serpents or vine tendrils forming a decorative wreath around the central device. The Greek letters F and A appear in the field to the left and right of the eagle respectively, representing the ethnic abbreviation for the sanctuary of Olympia (FА = digamma-alpha). The overall composition is strikingly symmetrical and reflects the refined Elean die-cutting style of the classical period.
