| Reverse description | A wild goat or agrimi (Cretan wild goat, Capra aegagrus cretica) depicted in a dynamic leaping or galloping posture to the left, with its distinctive long curved horns prominently rendered. The animal is shown in mid-stride against a plain field, its body rendered with naturalistic vigour typical of Cretan die-cutters. A Greek legend appears along the upper periphery of the flan, partially legible, reading ΠΡΑΙΣΙΩΝ or an abbreviated form thereof, identifying the issuing city of Praisos in eastern Crete. A small incuse square or control symbol is visible in the lower right field. |
