Reverse description A large rectangular incuse punch dominates the reverse, subdivided horizontally into two registers by a raised bar, creating the appearance of two stacked rectangular incuse compartments with irregular, roughly textured sunken fields. The ethnic legend ΛINΔI (in archaic Greek characters) is inscribed within the incuse area, distributed across the divided registers. This type of divided incuse reverse is characteristic of early Rhodian Peraea coinage of the archaic to early Classical transitional period.
