Obverse description Facing Boeotian shield rendered in high relief, the characteristic cutout openings at left and right flanks clearly defined within a plain circular border. The shield's convex body dominates the field, its incurved sides and symmetrical form executed with confident, bold engraving typical of Theban silver coinage of the early fourth century BC. No legend or inscription appears on this side.
