Reverse description The sacred eagle of Zeus, with wings folded tightly against its body, stands in profile facing right atop an Ionic column capital rendered in careful architectural detail, with characteristic volute scrolls clearly visible. The bird's plumage is finely incised, with individual feathers delineated on the folded wings and tail. The eagle and capital are set in high relief against a broad, concave field, with incuse scratch marks visible in the left field. No legend appears on this face.
