| Obverse description | Pegasus in full flight to left, wings spread and raised, forelegs extended; the winged horse is rendered in fine relief with naturalistic musculature. Below the body of Pegasus, the archaic Corinthian koppa (Ϙ) serves as the city's mint control mark, positioned in the lower left field. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, consistent with hand-struck production of the period. |
