Obverse description A lyre depicted in bold relief at the centre of the field, its resonating body rendered with a flat trapezoidal base and two elegantly curved lateral arms terminating in volutes. Seven strings are finely incised between the arms, with a crossbar (yoke) spanning their upper extremities and two upright pegs projecting above. The design is executed in the archaic Greek artistic style with crisp, high relief characteristic of Kyzikene electrum coinage. No legend or inscription is present; the composition fills the flan without border.
