Obverse description A cow stands to right, her head turned back to the left to suckle a calf kneeling beneath her in a composition of notable naturalistic quality. Above the group, an eight-rayed star occupies the upper field. The design is rendered in high relief typical of Korkyraean coinage of the Classical period.

Reverse description A double stellate pattern composed of two superimposed squares, forming an eight-pointed geometric design, enclosed within a double linear border and an outer linear circle. A spearhead appears in the lower field below the central geometric motif. The inscription KOP, identifying the issuing polis of Korkyra, is distributed within the design. The overall composition is characteristic of the incuse-derived reverse types of this Adriatic mint.
