| Obverse description | Boeotian shield depicted in relief at center, rendered in characteristic archaic style with the distinctive cutouts at left and right forming the concave indentations of the shield's lateral openings. The convex boss projects prominently from the center of the field, surrounded by a double raised border that frames the entire device. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, consistent with early fifth-century Boeotian coinage production. |

| Reverse description | Kantharos (wine krater) shown in high relief at center, with elegantly rendered loop handles curling outward at the shoulders, a flared neck with a raised molding, a bulbous body tapering to a stepped foot, and a foliate or tongue ornament above the rim. The abbreviation BOI (written as ΒΟ to the left and ΙΩ to the right of the vessel) flanks the kantharos in the field, identifying the issuing authority as the Boeotian League. The design is set within a shallow incuse square softened to a rounded border, typical of early fourth-century Boeotian silver coinage. |
