| Reverse description | A Chalkidian helmet shown full-face, the visor directed toward the viewer, flanked by the ethnic inscription OPΘAΓO to the left and PEΩN to the right, disposed vertically at the sides of the central device. A six-pointed star appears in the upper field above the helmet crest, and a monogram is placed in the lower field beneath the helmet. The composition is bold and symmetrical, reflecting the civic pride of the Orthagorean community and their adoption of military iconography common to northern Greek coinage of the fourth century BC. |
