She holds a pelta (crescent-shaped shield) in her left hand and a spear in her right, the weapon extending diagonally across the field. The composition is enclosed within a beaded border, the figure rendered in the vigorous archaic style characteristic of Cilician coinage of the late fifth century BC. |
