Reverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing right, wearing a Corinthian helmet pushed back on the head to reveal finely rendered facial features including a prominent nose and lips, with curling locks of hair visible at the nape and brow. To the left of the goddess, in the field behind her head, stands a small owl facing forward with spread wings, a secondary symbol associated with Athena and characteristic of the Ambracian coinage series. The composition is contained within a shallow incuse square, typical of early Greek silver stater coinage.
