Obverse description Two nude male wrestlers grappling in a frontal composition, each clasping the other's body in a symmetrical hold; the figures are rendered in confident archaic-to-early-classical style with musculature carefully delineated. The letter K appears prominently in the field between the wrestlers' legs, serving as a magistrate's or mint control mark. The entire design is contained within a beaded border, characteristic of Pisidian coinage of this period. The scene alludes to the athletic and martial traditions celebrated at Selge.
