| Obverse description | A ram depicted in profile standing to the left in high relief, rendered in the archaic Greek artistic style with careful attention to musculature and form. Beneath the ram, serving as a ground line and civic emblem, a tunny fish (tuna) is shown in left-facing profile. The tunny is the characteristic symbol of Kyzikos and appears on virtually all electrum coinage of this mint. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, typical of early hammered electrum coinage, with the devices occupying the majority of the field. |

| Reverse description | A quadripartite incuse square occupying the full reverse field, divided by raised ridges into four equal triangular sections meeting at the centre, creating a windmill or pinwheel pattern within the recessed square. This deeply impressed incuse punch is characteristic of early Greek coinage technique, serving as the anvil die mark. The incuse is boldly struck with well-defined raised borders, and the surface within each quadrant shows the typical granular texture of the hammered electrum flan. |
