| Obverse description | Pegasos, the winged horse, depicted in full profile flying to the right with wings spread and forelegs raised in a dynamic galloping pose. The creature is rendered with fine detail, including articulated feathers on the wings and well-modeled musculature on the body and haunches. Below the body, in the lower right field, appears the archaic Corinthian mint-mark koppa (Ϙ), identifying the coin's civic origin. The design is set within an incuse field typical of early Classical Corinthian coinage, with the figure occupying most of the flan. |
